Michael Jackson had an exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey in 1993 in his Neverland Ranch that was broadcasted live across the US and replayed in British television in 7 parts beginning with this part below.
During the interview, MJ intimated to Oprah how he envied children playing across the recording studio where he "worked" when he was just a kid.
Lacking much research on its construction and this article being my own deduction, his childhood story to me is probably the reason why he had the fantasy property built.
Here is the rest of the interview posted by MichaelJackson5fan whose website can be accessed here.
To those who just want some laughs or look at crazy sh*t
Please read on. Leave some comments if you will. All these stuff are "theoretical." Some might be true and most are from my imagination.

Michael Jackson and Ferdinand Marcos
This season being a Michael Jackson tribute season, I got to listen to a lot of his songs from the loudspeakers of our neighbor. While watering our garden and listening to "The Man in the Mirror" I got to think: were the activists of the Marcos Era able to use his song for their "revolutionary" singing?
I found out that The Man in the Mirror was released October 16, 2001 from Amazon.com. If it was released in the early 80's, this is how I thought the activists would have worded the lyrics:
I'm Starting With The Man In MANILA
I'm Asking Him To Change His Ways
And No Message Could Have Been Any Clearer
If You Wanna Make PINAS A Better Place
(If You Wanna Make PINAS A Better Place)
Take A Look At Your Men, And Then Change Their Ways
(Take A Look At Your Men, And Then Change Their Ways)
(Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na, Na Nah)
SM Megamall and Glorietta have LCD TVs in their activity areas showing MJ concerts all day long.

Sambong Tea and Michael Jackson's "Bad"
Every time I listen to Michael Jackson's "Bad," I always seem to hear him pronounce "Come On" as "Shambone" or, in the case of this post... "Sambong"
I was thinking that probably, the King of Pop's song can be used for an ad by ABS Sambong Tea product.
This is what the ad may look like:

Well they say the skys the limit
And to me thats really true
But my friend you have seen nothing
Just wait til disorders hit you
Because you're bad, go drink SAMBONG
(bad bad-really, really bad)
I know you're bad
You're bad-I know it
(bad bad-really, really bad)
I know you're bad, so drink SAMBONG, you know...
In closing, I wish to send my deepest condolences to the family of The King of Pop whose songs I believe will continue to be sung through the ages.

Resto name
I was in the airport waiting for my boss as he spoke with some gentlemen from the House of Representatives when I noticed this sign:

This, I believe, is how the owners came up with the name:
Scene: drinking party
Owner 1: Pare, sa tingin ko lasing na kayo. Pwede pa ba tayo mag toast? (Guys, I think you are all drunk already. Can we still have a toast?)
Owner 2: Kaya pa, kaya pa... (We can, we can...)
Owner 1: Kaya pa? (Can we still do it?)
Owner 3: Ya, kun kaya, toast! (Yeah, if we still can, let's toast!)
Onwers: Kampai!
:)

Battlestar Galactica, Terminator, Matrix
Last night, during dinner with some fraternity brothers, one brother, Jun Elefante, made connections between Battlestar Galactica, Terminator, and the Matrix movies.
Here's how the story goes:
After the defeat of the T-800 in Terminator 1, Skynet sent two other T-800 terminator across time to also hunt Sarah Connor to prevent the birth of John Connor, the leader of the resistance. During the time-space jump, a celestial anomaly occurred sending the machine to another time and dimension.
One of the machines materialized in one of the planet where the thirteenth tribe of Kobol resided - Earth. In it's search, it got into a fight with tribal soldiers who eventually destroyed it. From the scraps of the defeated terminator, the inhabitants of earth reversed engineered robots that did the dirty work for them - garbage collecting, construction, even law enforcement.
The third terminator materialized in one of the planets of the twelve colonies of Kobol. This gave rise to the Cylons. The Cylons turned against their masters that resulted in the first human-Cylon war.
After the truce, the Cylons came back, now with twelve models wearing human skin. These new Cylons are the product of the research of the 13th tribe when they reverse engineered the formula that gave terminators human skin.
During this second war, the humans were obliterated but for the few survivors who began searching for the 13th tribe and the planet Earth.
When they reached Earth as shown towards the end season 4, Earth is nothing more than a wasteland. No human can be found.
Unknown to them, the humans who survived the holocaust dug deep into the earth to escape the machines that no control the upper land. These machines manufacture humans and use them as batteries trapping their thoughts in what is called The Matrix.
Pretty good huh?
